Still Narratives
The narrative of every day life is compelling to me. When you look at my photography you experience
characters, place, story much like you read novels and watch film - a kind of visual narrative
captured at a moment in time, an extraction of ordinary life that out of context seems extraordinary
in some way. What I believe interests us as spectators is 'what's going on'--what happened before the
shot, during and after. In some ways the photographs are reminiscent of the 60's and 70's film when
subtext mattered and hand-held cameras captured the imagination with that documentary look.

BlackPrints
This abstract series is very physical, much like painting. I shoot at night and it is all about movement, the amount of light and timing of the capture.
